A little while ago I worked on a beautiful and wedding of Ross and Amy. The wedding began with a small intimate ceremony and wedding breakfast and ended with a big party and celebration. The story of the day was one of coming together; the joining of Amy and Ross’s families and the touches that showed the joining of English Amy to Welsh Ross.
We began preparations in the beautiful Llechwen Hall the atmosphere was relaxed and I took some time to photograph the dresses and details of the day. There wasn’t much room in the busy bridal preparation room so I cautiously made my way to a secret spot to photograph the dress outside.
As the time for the ceremony approached I found myself helping Amy into her beautiful dress by WED2B: wedding dresses are more difficult to get into than you may imagine and I often end up with my camera down and surrounded in wedding dress fabric. There was time for a few fun photos with Amy and Ross’s children before the ceremony.
After the ceremony there were more photos and I acquired a few assistants. Ross, Amy and I then spent a little time alone to capture some beautiful images of them before they returned to join their guests. After the wedding breakfast there was time for games and climbing before the evening guests arrived to celebrate with the happy couple.
