A Castle. A Car and Cake; Something for Everyone
On Sunday I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Lauren and Shaun’s beautiful wedding. They chose the stunning Fonmon Castle to host their day and it was the perfect choice. If ever there were a relaxed bride on the morning of a wedding it was Lauren. The preparations with team bride were calm and relaxed. Shaun, was surprised to have a very special car to bring him to the venue. This may have relaxed him slightly but, usually the joker of the couple, he was noticeably quieter before the ceremony. He was a little nervous. But then who doesn’t love a shot of a nervous groom waiting for his bride to appear?
The ceremony was informal and exactly what Lauren and Shaun wanted. Lauran was stunning as she walked down the aisle; she wes accompanied by her mum and followed by her bridesmaids. The ceremony took place in the beautiful library at Fonmon and Lauren entered from her room that adjoins the library. Following the ceremony there were reception drinks and then photos with the whole wedding party and finally with Lauren and Shaun. This wedding was a first for me, as I was assisted by Steven J Burnett Photography and had a great time sharing ideas with him; we both trained at the same studio and had lots of ideas for getting the best images of the day.
After the bridal shoot we returned to the library for the speeches, Lauren’s mum and uncle both spoke with pride of Lauren and there were a few tears. Shaun’s brother then entertained his audience with tales (and videos) of Shaun’s childhood. At this point we left the party to enjoy the wedding breakfast and took a little break before the evening’s guests arrived. The cake was cut, there was a lot of dancing and when we left the party looked set to continue into the night.
