Late this afternoon I met the Francis family. It was the last shoot on what has been a busy weekend. The sun was setting behind the trees of Ynysangharad Park and the light was beautiful but the soft golden light does not wait for anyone, least of all photographers, so we had to work quickly. On our wander around the park we found a log bathed in autumn evening light. Sitting atop the log was one of the pebbles the children of Pontypridd have been hunting out. Further along our walk we found another; I believe that they will be re-hidden in Cilfynydd. We paused at the log long enough to take a few pictures then departed for the sunken garden before ending in my favourite spot under a tree where the fallen leaves are a rich red. Thank you for asking me to take your family photographs today, I hope you like your sneak peek.
